L’associazione Pro Sport Ravanusa nasce nel 1993, ma ufficialmente viene costituita presso un notaio nel 1996, sin da subito al centro dell’attività sono i Centri di Avviamento allo sport, affiliata alla FIDAL ininterrottamente dal 1996 è anche affiliata all’ACSI.

Punta di diamante dell’associazione è il famigerato e tradizionale TROFEO PODISTICO INTERNAZIONALE ACSI CITTA’ DI RAVANUSA, appuntamento di mezza estate che il 16 Agosto di ogni anno si svolge nello splendido scenario del centro storico di Ravanusa.

Varie inoltre sono le iniziative che l’associazione svolge, ricordiamo la podistica a coppie di San Valentino, il trofeo di San Martino che si svolge l’11 Novembre oltre varie attività e manifestazione a favore di “diversamente abili”.

Per quanto riguarda il settore atletica ormai non c’è gara dove non siano presenti gli atleti del sodalizio ravanusano, inoltre vari titoli provinciali e regionali figurano nel palmares dell’associazione, ricordiamo fra tutti la vittoria nel 2008 dei Campionati Regionali di società di cross nella categoria assoluti femminili.
